Mother Earth is the result of a collaborative work carried out in the Colombian Amazons with photographer Matthieu Rytz during 2012. As a way of exploring the conceptions of indigenous old women regarding the relation between woman’s body and that of the Earth, Yesenia engaged in prolific conversations with them. This allowed her to have a broad sense of these women’s worlds and to elaborate the texts that would accompany Rytz’s photographs.
